| in traffic and slow speeds that becomes a problem. It's very jerky. I'm thinking my finding it easy to launch is more due to my clutch/pedal height more than the flywheel. But I can launch the thing all day with no issues, besides tons of wheel spin. I'd rather have better slow speed/traffic manners than launching ability. My reasoning for saying I don't think I would like an 8lb flywheel in a z is this: I was assuming if one that light was that jerky in a miata, and a 12lb one in a z isn't *that* bad, an 8lb one would be hell at the same lower speeds. I have NO 8lb z flywheel experience, I was just trying to relate the things I do know. For all I know, 8 could be the magic number no a z. It'd sure be a blast once you get moving though! Please don't think I'm speaking negative about lighter flywheels. I love mine. I'm happy I got the 8lb. It took me a few tries to get out of the driveway that first time, but now I don't even notice it till I drive someone else's manual car. Driving in traffic sucks, but it's a tradeoff I'm more than happy to have.
